Do you photograph in a studio or on location?

Impressions by Twyla photographs sessions both on location and in the studio. We will discuss what you desire and make a plan about where to hold the session. Twyla is skilled in many lighting set-ups and will collaborate with you to determine which location will work best to meet your needs. 

What does minimum purchase mean? 

Our sessions do require a minimum order. Clients have different desires; some clients prefer longer sessions, multiple locations, multiple outfit changes, etc.  Some clients prefer smaller sessions with less time, one location, fewer outfit changes, and less poses and images.  A minimum purchase is the minimum amount a client must invest on their order. Minimum orders are applied in an effort to allocate our customer’s time and budgets appropriately as well as our time in order to deliver consistent quality and serve our clients effectively.  Our minimum purchases/starting points are based on our experience of what most clients have chosen to order for that specific session. We have several options available to our clients to help find them find the right custom session. 

What is a consultation?   

We meet with our clients at a consultation to go over all the details about your portrait experience prior to your session.  We discuss locations, ideas, time, weather, outfits, style, collections, and all the details of the shoot and ordering appointment so on the day of your session we are just having fun creating amazing images. Some consultations may take place over the phone.

Do you offer custom framing?

Impressions by Twyla specializes in art to decorate your home. We offer you a wide variety of custom frames to frame your treasured portraits. You may also select custom canvas gallery wraps, metal prints, or gallery blocks. Other choices include custom albums and memory books. We work with each client to help you choose a the perfect way to display your images.

How do I get to see the images from my session and place my order?

Ordering appointments are scheduled approximately two to three weeks after your session, and last 60 to 90 minutes. The most important decisions in the portrait process occur at this appointment. We take great pride in providing our clients with an interactive and fun way to place your order.  You will view your portraits at a personally attended slideshow. You will be asked to order at this time. Please make sure all decision makers are present, as additional ordering appointments incur a $75 fee. We specialize in helping you select the best images and display presentations, and feel this process is a very important service that we can offer to our clients. Once your order is placed, your ordered images are achieved.

How long will it take to get my order? 

Your portraits will be ready for pickup approximately 4-6 weeks after your order is placed. Quality takes time, so please allow us the time needed to provide you with the quality you expect from a custom portrait photography studio. 

How long will you keep my files? 

Once your order is placed, your ordered images are achieved. All ordered images are kept on file for a period of one year. Images not ordered will be kept on file for 30 days.

What if I need to reschedule my session?

 We understand that unexpected events come up, whether due to illness, weather, travel delays or emergencies. If you need to reschedule, please call us as soon as possible (at least 24-48 hours in advance). While our creation fees are non-refundable, you may use it for a one-time reschedule (if called within the 24-48 hour window) to be scheduled within 6 months of your original appointment date. 

When do I pay my creation fee and what does it cover?

Your full creation fee payment is required at the time of booking. This fee is the only way to hold your appointment.  The creation fee covers the time, talent, and creative fee of the portrait artist and is non-refundable.

Will you ship my order to me? 

If you desire shipping, we will charge a shipping and handling fee for your portrait order. 

When is payment do for my order?

 We require 50% down when you place your order  Your order must be paid for in full before ANY portion of your order is picked up.  Balances must also be paid in full to receive ANY digital images or yearbook images. Orders are custom made and are non-refundable.

What payment options are available? 

Cash, Check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover 

 What if I want to make a copy of my image?

 All images remain the property of Impressions by Twyla and are protected by federal copyright laws. Duplication in part or whole (whether by scanning or reprinting) is strictly prohibited and will be prosecuted by law.  This includes posting scanned images to social media websites. 

What if I want to use images from my session for my yearbook?

Impressions by Twyla will email a purchased pose to your yearbook advisor. You must provide the requirements, contact information, and yearbook deadline to Impressions by Twyla. Your order must be paid in full before an image will be released to the yearbook.
